ABOUT THE COMPANY

CabE is a cab and fleet management company headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. The platform is owned and operated as a partnership by the following partners:

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the CabE website, mobile application, or any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services. These terms apply to all users including customers, corporate clients, and visitors.

2. Services Provided

CabE provides cab booking, outstation travel, airport transfers, corporate fleet management, and driver-on-hire services across West Bengal. Services are available in Kolkata, Howrah, Asansol, Durgapur, Siliguri, and other cities we operate in. Service availability may vary by location and time.

  • All rides are subject to vehicle and driver availability.
  • CabE reserves the right to modify or discontinue any service at any time without prior notice.
  • Corporate fleet services are governed by a separate service agreement signed between CabE and the client organisation.

3. Booking & Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only upon receiving a confirmation message via SMS, WhatsApp, or email from CabE. Verbal commitments or form submissions alone do not guarantee a booking. CabE reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a booking in case of unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to vehicle breakdown, driver unavailability, or natural disasters.

4. Pricing & Payments

All fares are transparently communicated before the ride commences. CabE operates on a zero-surge pricing model — the quoted fare is the final fare unless changes in route or waiting time occur.

  • Fare estimates displayed on the website are indicative and subject to actual distance travelled.
  • Tolls, state permits, and parking charges are payable by the customer unless otherwise agreed.
  • Payments may be made in cash, UPI, or bank transfer as agreed at the time of booking.
  • Cancellations within 2 hours of the scheduled departure may attract a cancellation fee up to 20% of the booking value.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are expected to:

  • Be present at the pick-up location at the scheduled time. Waiting time beyond 15 minutes may be chargeable.
  • Not carry prohibited or hazardous goods in the vehicle.
  • Treat drivers and CabE staff with respect. Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate termination of service.
  • Ensure seatbelts are worn by all occupants.
  • Report any damage, misconduct, or issues promptly via our contact channels.

6. Driver Conduct

All CabE drivers are police-verified, licensed, and trained professionals. CabE maintains strict standards of conduct. Customers may report driver misconduct by contacting us at hello@cabe.in or via WhatsApp at +91 87773 66303. CabE will investigate all complaints within 48 hours.

7. Limitation of Liability

CabE shall not be liable for:

  • Delays caused by traffic, road conditions, strikes, or any force majeure event.
  • Loss of personal belongings left in a vehicle. Customers should check for their belongings before exiting.
  • Indirect or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our services.

CabE's maximum liability in any circumstance shall not exceed the value of the ride fare paid by the customer.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including the CabE brand name, logo, text, images, and software — is the intellectual property of CabE and its partners. Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of any content is strictly prohibited.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal. CabE encourages customers to first raise disputes informally by contacting us directly before initiating formal legal proceedings.

10. Changes to These Terms

CabE reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
